Joining the Service Children’s Community Choir means giving your child a place to belong, grow, and shine. Our weekly sessions offer expert musical teaching, a supportive community, and a consistent space where service children can build confidence and friendships that travel with them through every posting. Where?
Our weekly rehearsals take place at Le Cateau Community Primary School in Catterick Garrison, a safe, welcoming and child‑friendly setting at the heart of the military community. The school provides a secure, familiar environment where service children can come together, build friendships, and enjoy high‑quality musical learning. Whether your family is newly posted or long‑term local, Le Cateau offers an accessible, stable base where every child can feel at home.
When?
Our choir meets every Wednesday evening from 6.00–7.30pm, running throughout term time to give children a consistent, joyful routine they can rely on. Alongside weekly rehearsals, we offer additional performance opportunities during the year, always shared with plenty of notice so families can plan with confidence. Whether your child is new to singing or already loves to perform, our timetable provides the stability and excitement that help them grow.
How much?
The choir costs £36 per month, covering 39 weeks of specialist teaching each year, three major performance opportunities, and a contribution towards transport for events. To keep things simple and predictable for families, the annual cost is divided into 12 equal monthly payments, all collected securely via direct debit. This ensures children can enjoy high‑quality musical learning and performance experiences without unexpected term‑by‑term changes.
